Description
The Gateway E32 V2 (Ethernet + WiFi Edition V2) KIT is a kit with the BBQKees EMS Gateway E32 V2 including all options for a lower price.
Included in this kit are the following items (one each):
- EMS Gateway E32 V2 (with latest V2.2 circuit board)
- Orange screw terminal
- 12V DC or 5V USB-C power supply with EU plug* (or 3-pin UK plug for UK orders)
- 110cm EMS service cable
- 100cm EMS screw terminal cable
- 3-lead JST ZH cable (for adding DS18B20 sensors)
- Very strong 3M double sided foam tape
With this kit you can connect the EMS Gateway to your boiler or heat pump in any situation;
- Via the EMS service jack on the boiler or heat pump (if it has one) by using only the 110cm EMS service cable.
- Via the EMS service jack on the boiler or heat pump (if it has one) by using the 110cm EMS service cable and the power supply.
- Via the EMS screw terminal by using the 100cm EMS screw terminal cable and the power supply.
With the supplied JST ZH cable you can add your own DS18B20 sensors to the Gateway. You can connect just one sensor, or more in parallel.
The 3M double sided foam tape is strong enough to mount the Gateway vertically on a wall or plastic or metal surface (side of the boiler).
And the Gateway also has mounting holes for wall mounting with screws (not included).
Before ordering please check the compatibility of your EMS devices in the list HERE.
* Depending on the production batch, you may receive either a 12V DC barrel jack or a 5V USB-C power supply in your Gateway KIT.
UK orders will automatically receive a 12V DC UK 3-pin power supply.
You can check our extensive product WIKI HERE to see how to connect this Gateway to your boiler or heat pump.

Brilliant kit, working exactly as advertised and has been completely “plug and play”. Reliable so far too!

The device is very easy to setup thank to the available documentation which is very professional and extensive. I appreciate the detailed steps description to harmonise the system with the common home automation tools like domoticz or home-assistant. Very nice made for a reasonable price. I recommend!

Connected the kit to my Bosch Heatpump and it worked out of the box with my Home Assistant integration. Finally can delete the crappy Bosch app and sell the Connect key. Just love it!

but a little bit tricky to set up ip adress

Works perfectly smooth with my Bosch Compress 5800 and Mosquito on Home Assistant. Plug&Play.

Works as described and it is really plug-and-plau with Home Assistant. Tested with a Buderus Heatpump and an HMC310. Beats the “official” devices in all aspects. A must.

Very well-designed hardware with flexible connectivity. Power supply via power adapter, USB or jack plug. Network via Wi-Fi or LAN cable. ESP connection via jack plug or cable terminals.
The entities of my Bosch heating system was found immediately (>200 entities). I can see almost everything and control it via HA.

After some disappointment with the crappy cloud-based Bosch Connect Key that does not support local API I was very excited while browsing the esp-ems docs before ordering. In germany we would call that a “Eierlegende Wollmilchsau” (Egg-laying woolpig which also gives milk), something that ticks all the boxes, too good to be true it actually cannot exist. But here we are, I’m really impressed by it, this is what happens if passionate engineers design something instead of big corporations. Thank you for making it! One very tiny suggestion for improvement though: the double sided tape that came with it was too thin to account for the little feet at the back of the device and thus didn’t stick to the side of my heat pump. I just used some thinker foam tape I had laying around to attach it, so no big deal 🙂

Thanks for the compliments.
We recently switched to these thicker silicone feet.
I did not realize at all until now that the double sided tape we are shipping with these Gateways for years would also need to be thicker.
Cutting the tape in two and stacking them up would give enough height to stick though.

Since I already had the S3 with my gas boiler and now wanted a LAN connection with my new heat pump, I bought the E32 which works just as smoothly as the S3. I highly recommend it for all Bosch EMS-based heating systems.

Angeschlossen, eingerichtet, funktioniert!

So far, the hardware has been reliable and functional with a Buderus GB172 and Homeassistant on Raspberry Pi. Good job and thank you very much!

I can summerize it in one word: fantastic

Does the job. Allows me to manage my Worcester 4000 System from Home Assistant, the main gain is being able to create a weather compensation which makes the boiler adjust to outside temperature. During this cold spell it is changing between 40c and 48c which should deliver a 10% annual gas bill.
So far it is awesome!

Great device works as expected. I am using it via lan cable only which works great. Easy integration with home assistant via mqtt on a raspi.

Complete product. Impressed by esp32 doing it all. Was flashed with beta software and I keep flashing beta versions as a consequence. It is very stable. Auto discovery in home assistant works great.
I would appreciate some official, simple automation scripts for home assistant, but I imagine every person has different needs and different devices and this might not be feasible.

Wtorek kupione, środa wysłane, piątek dostarczone…do Polski. Działa świetnie z kotłem GB192i, RC310 i home assistant. Polecam wszystkim którym moduł buderusa przestał łączyć sie z chmurą tak jak u mnie. Dziękuję.

It works fine except for occasional EH 258 on my boiler.
I already responded to this discussion but got no reaction so far: https://github.com/emsesp/EMS-ESP32/discussions/2658
I scheduled a daily system/reboot and that appears to work for a few days now, but it‘s too early to tell whether this is a good workaround.
