Business to business (B2B) sales

Who it is for?

B2B sales are for all businesses, enterprises, companies, institutions and governmental entities that install or want to use EMS Gateways in their own business propositions.

Ordering process

For small direct orders of a few Gateways you can just order them in the webshop directly. See the sections below on VAT processing and payment method/invoicing.

VAT processing

All orders from customers who do not enter a valid VAT number are subject to VAT.
The VAT applied depends on the shipping destination. If the destination is inside the Netherlands or outside of the EU, the Dutch VAT rate of 21% is applied.
For destinations inside the EU the VAT rate of the destination EU member country is applied.
So if you place an order from Germany, we apply 19% German VAT. (This is an EU arrangement called One Stop Shop.)

If you enter a valid EU VAT number in the billing address details during checkout, VAT exempt intra-community supply is applied automatically.
However, due to a feature-mismatch between two plugins in the backend there is always VAT on the payment surcharges.
If you do not want this, you can use the IBAN payment method which has no payment surcharge.
Alternatively you can mail us before you place an order so we can manually check your VAT number and create a customer account with VAT exempt status.

If you place an order with a valid EU VAT number, and you still see VAT being added to the products, the VAT check has either failed or has been successful in disapproving a non-valid VAT number. If you think it is incorrect, send us an email before making a payment. If you continue and place the order we cannot refund paid VAT afterwards.

Payment methods and invoicing

Depending on the destination country we offer a number of payment methods.
These include IBAN bank transfer, iDeal, BanContact, Paypal, Credit card, Apple pay etc.

All orders must be paid in advance. Goods are not shipped if there was no payment received.

Invoices are generated in PDF and will automatically be sent via email when the order has been prepared for shipment. (order status ‘Completed’ ).

If you need an invoice for your internal approval before ordering, you can place a regular order in the webshop with the IBAN bank transfer payment and then you can ask us to send you a pro-forma invoice.
Orders with IBAN bank transfers need to be paid within 12 days. If no payment has been received the order will be cancelled automatically. (So in case you do not get an approval, the order is cancelled without further payment obligation).

Adding BBQKees Gateways into your own business proposition

In general when a company sees a use case for the EMS Gateways and they contact us, we will provide an overview of the features and answer all questions they have.
As a next step we ask them to order a EMS Gateway product from the webshop so they can first test if the EMS Gateway is suitable for their use case and if they need some more specific support on it.
We can then provide technical support on the implementation. It’s also possible to order Gateways that have a specific firmware or we can load your configuration on them before shipment.

Product choice

We always advise to use the E32 V2 Gateway KIT products. These provide both wired and wireless network connection, and they have all the accessories included to connect the Gateway to any EMS heat source. The flexibility and versatility of the E32 V2 KIT means you can support more boiler and heat pump models and you can use the available network on your clients location.
The highest uptime is guaranteed when using the LAN port (because you omit the WiFi layer), and simultaneously using the DC power input as well even when the EMS service jack is connected.
(This will keep the Gateway turned on even when the heat source reboots).

Furthermore the E32 V2 enclosure allows for a larger circuit board than the S3 so we were able to add some additional filters for even more robustness.
You can however use any Gateway in your own proposition and not worry about compliance. All products are tested and comply with all relevant EU regulations and directives, so they all carry a CE mark.
CE also includes RoHS legislation, and CE is valid in the UK and Switzerland as well. This offers a very large available geographical market.

Order volumes and volume pricing

Orders up to 20-50 Gateways can usually be placed directly via the webshop, as long as stock suffices. If you need more Gateways than there is stock in the webshop send us an email. Usually we have much more units in storage, ready to be added.
For orders above 10 Gateways we can discuss volume discounts.

Product customization

If you need a larger number of Gateways we can load your configuration to the Gateways before shipment and we can also load a specific firmware on it.
If you only need a few customized Gateways, it makes more sense to order the ‘generic’ version and customize the firmware yourself upon receipt.
The firmware also has a feature to add your own logo and contact details in the support pages.

B2B swap service

For B2B order we offer a unique swap service for (possible) product defects. If your customer has an issue, you can consult us and if we think it may be hardware related, or possible software related but the customer would be unable to solve it quickly, we will send a replacement product to you.
Then you can visit the customer on-site and swap out the Gateway. If the new Gateway works, you send us the defective unit.
If the new Gateway also does not work, the issue is outside of the Gateway and you need to return the replacement unit back to us.
By offering this service you can minimize your on-site visits, which are of course generally much more expensive than online support.
We cover the costs for the shipment of the replacement unit to you, you pay for the return shipment and make sure we receive the right unit back.
